  3. HOMEROOM INFORMATION: b Important Dates: LAST FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: Be here to form the welcome tunnel for your child’s last first day at St. Mark School! September 3rd: STAR testing Math September 4th: STAR testing Reading September 10th: Ipad Parent Session, 7th and 8th grade Catalina trip meeting September 13th: Picture Day September 27th: Lion Olympics September 16-18: Catalina trip October 9th: HIgh School Night in Parish Hall August

  4. HOMEROOM INFORMATION: c If you would like to send in a treat for your child’s birthday, please send it with your child in the morning.

  5. High School Information (a) In October, the administration and eighth grade teachers will meet with parents to discuss any questions and/or concerns about high school admissions. Complete the form that indicates which schools you/your child will be applying to by November 22, 2019 (Friday). Compile all of the forms needed as part of the application process and submit these forms to the homeroom teacher by December 5th, 2019 (Thursday). HSPT Practice Book and study sessions

High School Information (b) High School Shadow Days: • If you have already shadowed a school in 7th grade, you do not need to shadow the same school in 8th grade • Planned absence form turned in at least one week before visit • Return to school form on day of return • Student is responsible for getting all work assigned that day • One extra day is given to turn in all assignments on shadow days.
