  4. Wallboard, Drywall & Gypsum(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.)

  5. Wallboard, Drywall & Gypsum(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.) Less than 10 ft2 Clean-up Methods – Use a HEPA vacuum once the material has been thoroughly dried. Dispose of HEPA vacuum contents in well- sealed plastic bags. PPE – Minimum .. Gloves, N95 respirator, goggle/ eye protection. Containment – Not Required.

  6. Wallboard, Drywall & Gypsum(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.) Between 10 ft2 and 100 ft2 Clean-up Methods – Use a HEPA vacuum once the material has been thoroughly dispose of HEPA vacuum contents in well-sealed plastic bags. Remove water-damaged materials and seal in plastic bags inside the containment area, if there is one. Dispose of as normal waste. HEPA-vacuum area once it is dried.

  7. Wallboard, Drywall & Gypsum(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.) Between 10 ft2 and 100 ft2 PPE – Limited .. Gloves, N95 respirator or half-face respirator with HEPA/P100 filters, disposable overalls, goggle/eye protection. Or,Full .. Gloves, full-face respirator with HEPA/P100 filters, disposable full-body clothing, foot coverings, head gear, goggle/eye protection.

  8. Wallboard, Drywall & Gypsum(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.) Between 10 ft2 and 100 ft2 cont’d Containment – Limited .. From floor to ceiling, enclose affected area in poly sheeting with slit entry and covering flap. Maintain area under negative pressure with HEPA-filtered fan. Block supply and return air vents in containment area.

  9. Wallboard, Drywall & Gypsum(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.) Greater than 100 ft2 Clean-up Methods – Use a HEPA vacuum once the material has been thoroughly dried. Dispose of HEPA vacuum contents in well-sealed plastic bags. Remove water-damaged materials and seal in plastic bags inside the containment area, if there is one. Dispose of as normal waste. 12. Wood Surfaces(Action within 24 – 48 hrs.) vRemove water with water-extraction system. vReduce humidity levels with dehumidifiers. Accelerate drying process with fans and/or heaters. !Don’t use heat to dry carpet. !Use caution applying heat to hardwood floors. v

  13. Wood Surfaces(Action within 24 – 48 hrs.) vFor all treated and finished woods, porous (linoleum, ceramic tile, vinyl) and non-porous (metal, plastic) hard surfaces, vacuum and damp-wipe with water or water and mild detergent and allow to dry; scrub if necessary. v Wet paneling should be pried away from walls for drying.

  17. Wood Surfaces(Remediation of Mold Growth after 48 hrs.) Less than 10 ft2 Clean-up Methods – Wet-vacuum the material. In porous material, some mold spores/fragments will remain but will not grow if materials are completely dried. Steam cleaning may be an alternative for carpets and some upholstered furniture.Damp-wipe surfaces with water or with water and detergent solution. (except wood – use wood floor cleaner); scrub as needed. Use a HEPA vacuum once the material has been thoroughly dried. Dispose of HEPA vacuum contents in well-sealed plastic bags. PPE – Minimum .. Gloves, N95 respirator goggle/eye protection. Containment – Not Required.
