LITERACY: Extending narrative:Chn revises work on narrative, settings and plot. Journalistic writing:During this unit chn develop a journalistic style through considering balanced reporting. Finding a voice: They discuss green Chnwrite & publish their own environmental poems. NUMERACY: Coordinates, reflection, transformation, rotation Mental and division of decimals. Covert vulgar fraction to decimals. Using calaculator. and QURAN: Memorisation of SurahTakweer and SurahAbasa Rules of Noon Sakin and Tanween (Izhar, Idgham, Iqlaab, Ikhfa) Practise reading SurahQalam and GEOGRAPHY/HISTORY: Britain before, during and after WWII. Children will learn how the role of women during WWII. Children will do a project on how fashion developed before, during and after the war. Britain before, during and after WWII Spring Term 4 2012 YEAR 6 • PE: • Invasion games and gymnastics. • Individually, compose a sequence of 8-10 elements, floor-apparatus-floor. Include twisting, turning, flight, change of direction, speed and level, contrasting shapes and balances. Use floor and apparatus so each person starts and finishes in a different place.
