  3. Christmas Day • Americans celebrate Christmas on December 25. Christmas is a religious holiday and one of the happiest holidays of the year, because it is the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

  9. St. Valentine’s Day It is a day of love and friendship. People can send greeting cards to their sweethearts and friends and ask them to “Be my Valentine.”

  11. St. Patrick’s Day • On March 17, Americans celebrate an Irish religious holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. On this day they decorate their houses, schools, and streets with green shamrocks. They say that everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day.

  13. Mother’s Day • American people honor their mothers on the second Sunday in May. This day is called Mother’s Day. It’s a way of saying: “Thanks for being such a great Mom!” My mom is very special,My mom is very kind,My mom always tells me I'm special,She's always on my mind.

  15. Easter • Easter is celebrated on a Sunday in April or May. The week before Easter people color eggs. On Easter Sunday children wake up to find that the Easter Bunny has left them a basket of candy. English teacher

  17. Independence Day • On July 4, the United States celebrate Independence Day. It is called Independence Day, because on July 4, 1776 it was declared that the United States would be free and independent from England.

  18. Halloween • It is one of the best holidays for children. It is celebrated on October 31. Halloween colors: orange and black.

There is a lot ofdancing and eating all night. People blow horns and whistles at midnight. Down 4. They say ghosts and witches come out on this day. Children make lanterns out of pumpkins. 5. On this day children give or send their fathers and grandfathers cards or presents . 6. On this day children decorate tree with toys and little colored lights.
