1. 7 Professional Web Design Trends: You Can Must Expect In 2018 As the title suggests, today our design news of the week will be in the form of web design predictions to expect this year. We had our educational analysis on the trends, and came up with the important ones, which are most likely to hit the year 2018 with a slam. [1]. Authenticity defines the credibility This is what you see on Twitter. Whenever, there is tick mark below the photo of Twitter account holder, the account is 100% real of the person associated with it. Such a feature helps a great deal in letting celebrities and known faces to let the followers or fans identify whether the account is for real or not, considering there are thousands of fake accounts existing on Internet. Such a verified user check is getting popular with time and making the Twitter account as well as Tweets authentic. This is now becoming to be a trend with web design as well, wherein the website can be authenticated using the verified website check or security check. Furthermore, this ensures user security through user verification. One of the major trend setter this year is going to be verification and trust associated with source. Designers are going to deal with this problem by allowing content creators to ensure credibility of the website. Consumers will now allow for

2. analysis tools for artificial intelligence resulting in creating credibility of content through trust signals. [2]. Virtual Reality is the result of Augmented Reality Yes the technology of virtual reality is certainly powerful. It is what we can achieve by means of augmented reality. There is a thin line of difference between the two. Augmented reality is all about simulation of real life world or scenario today. It has visual appeal and context meant to replicate the outside world. Imagine, bringing real world on website in real time. In case of virtual reality there are no augmented references as such. What you see and observe is the real world experienced as if present right at the location. This results in making impossible communication possible right from the comforts of your home. [3]. It is all going to be messaging As of now you might not give preference to messaging. However, you are surely going to see messaging integrated within web design in future. When combining things like Augmented Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR), you are going to see unlocking of messaging power. With processing of natural language, messaging platforms become sophisticated, with media sharing technologies evolving, leading to rich messaging content.

3. [4]. Typefaces is gonna gain traction Every year there is always a technology shift in the design elements used. If we look at the past year, design has gain prominence on line art, large shapes, heavily saturated colors, and big soft drop shadows. This year typography will play a key role in becoming a primary design element. Web fonts are not going to be a difference maker any more.

4. You can expect more type layout, usage of fonts, as well as a slight upstick in the typefaces or fonts created. If you think serif or Sans serif have faded, you are just mistaken. Typography will still be as important as always. Letterforms make a good impact on the minds of users, and the typeface tide will still remain the same as always. [5]. Animation will become more mature Animations have become an important part of everybody, especially in website design. As of today, people were only limited to basic animations. But now, animation will see seriousness, with new tools cultivated as time passes by. Nowadays instead of using basic techniques to create animations, more advanced forms are created meant for performance. WebGL is impressively powerful and it is what most developers working on front end prefer to opt for today. The use of WebGL requires a complete distinctive design need, and hence used by game and animation studios, rather than individual web designers. Since VR is till to reach the maturity levels, WebGL is surely going to be adopted. [6]. Homepage will host advanced CTAs This is an obvious shift for majority websites. However, there are websites today wherein you will have sales pitches by scrolling down, while subscription tags appearing on popups. Many websites are scared implementing things this way since

5. they are scared of standards set by Google utilizing patterns degrading performance of the site. This allows for developers and designers with a huge opportunity to craft calls to actions that are high quality, making it highly engaging for websites to present with customer oriented home pages. Carousel pattern has taken a backseat through condensed content resulting in smaller space. With carousel pattern overused, it will take a backseat in the future. [7]. Bizarre products flooding the site People were astonished when they saw Amazon launching unique products like assistant and in-home speaker, making them feel this is gonna be a strange move for Amazon. It is not going to be strange thing when you witness customer habits and preferences changing with new weird products being launched. There are a range of strange products seen nowadays, and this is what you are going to see in future as well. So how does all this really affect the web design pattern? With new weird products, even designs are getting interesting, helping companies to move from branded products to launching out of box unconventional products.

6. Summing up Design always evolves and so it will continue to do in 2018. With web design doing aesthetic shifts, you are going to see websites becoming more interactive, with an intelligent shift towards virtual reality and artificial intelligence. Businesses are going to see a major shift by doing extensive AI research, and harness the AI related insights to implement into web design. All the above factors point to just one common thing that future web designs are meant to incorporate human psychology elements like authenticity, privacy, customer support, messaging, and consumer psychology.
