Discuss News Stories with your Partner • After you hear each other’s stories, write down 1 fact & 1 opinionbased on the stories you heard. • For example, if I spoke about a local crime and my partner spoke about an earthquake, we could write: • FACT: An earthquake took place in Pakistan. • OPINION: I think that the criminal is really innocent.

  4. Please Clear Your Desk • Listen to Miss Collins read a news story. • Listen VERY CAREFULLY!!! You will be asked to retell the story later on!!! Try to remember as much as possible!!! • Listen to the story one more time. This time you may take notes. • Discuss the story with your partner. Try to remember what your partner cannot! • Fill out the ditto. Work with your partner to write the story exactly as you heard it.
