South Ayrshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership's Recovery Orientated System of Care involves engaging service users and individuals in recovery. Establishing user groups, forums, and contributing to sub-groups aid in implementing the strategy. Activities like Recovery Walk, training, and development of Peer Worker Roles promote recovery. Events like RecoveryAyr Footsteps to Recovery and Christmas Fayre help raise funds for initiatives like the Recovery Cafe. The cafe, Café HOPE, offers a social atmosphere with activities like drama, gardening, and peer support. Volunteer-driven, it hosts themed monthly nights and alternative therapies. Recognized at the Scottish Health Awards 2013, these efforts underline the community's commitment to mental health and recovery.
