  5. The 18 Month Letting • This is a great tool for planning purposes. • You may search by District, County, Road, or view the entire list, or select a list view (pictured). • Contracts are grouped by letting date when in the list format. • More specific information becomes available when the letting appears on the “Contract Letting Information” page. • If you have questions, select the “Contact Us” button shown on the previous slide.

  6. Finding the contracts • Once the letting becomes available, you may review the specifics of the contracts on this page. • The “Schedule of Pay Items” will show all of the contracts let and all of the pay items.

  7. Pay Items Per Contract • Review and find your pay item or description. • You can utilize the Ctrl+F function and search all the contracts in that letting by pay item or description. • Be sure you are certified for the appropriate NAICS codes for the Pay Item. • Note – INDOT pay items are not the same as NAICS codes. NAICS codes are used by INDOT solely for the purpose of assigning DBE credit.

  8. Bidders & Planholders List • The Bidders and Planholders List is a listing of all companies that requested registration as a Planholder of Interest or a Bidder (Prime). • The list provides a public indication of interest in a particular project. • Note: All Bidders and any sub with more than $300K in total unearned work must be INDOT prequalified.

  9. How do I get my company listed? • Click on the specific letting. • Click on “Bidders & Planholders Registration Form.” • You will want to do this as soon as the letting becomes available. • The compiled list becomes available 2 weeks before the letting. You want to be sure your company is listed by then. Bidders (Primes) may use the list to solicit subs and subs may use it to solicit bidders.

  10. Bidders & Planholders registration • Complete the Bidders & Planholders Registration Form. • Select the contracts - Only select “Bidder” if you want to be the Prime. • The sooner you can get your company listed, the better. • Be sure to hit “Submit Form.”

  11. How INDOT provides DBEs free advertising • When you request a copy of the contract, you are automatically listed as a DBE. • This listing becomes available 2 weeks prior to the letting. You can also use it to contact Primes bidding on the project. • Note the DBE goal for the project is listed here as well. The current 3 year overall goal is 10.9% but individual goals are set per project and may range from 0% to 14%.
