SOP of System Security Settings. September 2013. Step 1. Login PecConfig using ROOT account. 1) Start PecConfig , the User Verification window appears. Login using the User Name ROOT , and enter the correct password. The default password is null. Step 2. Add a User Group.

Step 1. Login PecConfig using ROOT account 1) Start PecConfig, the User Verification window appears. Login using the User Name ROOT, and enter the correct password. The default password is null.
Step 2. Add a User Group 1) Right-click on User Group Definition, select New… from the pop-up menu.
Step 2. Add a User Group 2) The User Group Properties window appears. Enter the User Group name. For example: User Group: SMART
Step 2. Add a User Group 3) Navigate to the Authority Definition tab, select the authorities required for this user group. For example: User Group: SMART Enable all authorities
Step 2. Add a User Group 4) Navigate to the Node Range tab, Click Add Node. 5) The Select Accessible Nodes window appears. Click on the Station Setup node, and select the Station the user is permitted to access. Then click OK. Click on the Station Setup node on the left pane to select the whole station, or select a single station on the right pane. Press Shift to select multiple stations.
Step 2. Add a User Group 6) The Station is enabled in the Node Range. Click Add Node to continue. 7) The Select Accessible Nodes window appears. Click on the Graph Repository node, and select the Graph the role is permitted to access. Then click OK. Click on the Graph Repository node on the left pane to select the whole graph repository, or select a single graph on the right pane. Press Shift to select multiple graphs.
Step 2. Add a User Group 8) The Graph Repository is enabled in the Node Range. Click Add Node to continue. 9) The Select Accessible Nodes window appears. Click on the Report Repository node, and select the Report the role is permitted to access. Then click OK. Click on the Report Repository node on the left pane to select the whole report repository, or select a single report on the right pane. Press Shift to select multiple reports.
Step 2. Add a User Group 10) After the Node Range is defined, click OK. 11) The User Group is added, as below. Right-click on the User Group and select Properties… from the pop-up window.
Step 2. Add a User Group 12) The User Group Properties window appears. Navigate to the User Define tab, click Create User. 13) The User Properties Edit window appears. Enter the User Name and Password. Then click OK. For example: User Name: Admin Password: abc123
Step 2. Add a User Group 14) The User Properties Edit window appears. The user inherit the authorities and node range by default. Click OK. 4) The user is added to the user group, as below.
Step 2. Add a User Group 5) Select a User in the User Define box, and then click Administrator Settings. 6) Then the user selected is assigned as Administrator of this user group (The user is marked as Administrator behind). Click OK.
Step 2. Add a User Group 3) The Select User window appears. Select the User Group and then click OK. 4) The user is added to the user group, as below.
Step 2. Add a User Group 5) Select a User in the User Define box, and then click Administrator Settings. 6) Then the user selected is assigned as Administrator of this user group (The user is marked as Administrator behind). Click OK.
Step 2. Add a User Group 7) After the User Group is added, click Save from the toolbar. The change is saved to database successfully, as below.

Step 3. Login PecConfig using Admin account 1) Start PecConfig, the User Verification window appears. Login PecConfig using the User Name Admin, and enter the correct password.
