  1. CORE VALUES

  2. Seven Core Values…… • A highly relational community • A people who honour one another • A holy Spirit guided and inspired community • A people with a heart for the lost (mission shaped) • A people who host God’s presence • A kingdom minded people • A prayerful people

  3. A highly relational community. ‘What did the early church look like?’ ‘They were devoted to one another’. Acts 2: 42 So what does a highly relational community look like today? Aself-devoted, mature, responsibility taking church.

  4. A highly relational community. How did Jesus operate? He chose 12 men & poured his life into them Who are you pouring your life and experience into?

  5. A people who honour one another John 12: 1 – 8. The story of Mary, who poured out oil on Jesus feet: An incredible example of honouring Jesus

  6. A people who honour one another What about us? Are we practicing the principle of honouring one another? Are we practicing generosity with our time, homes, skills, money etc.?

  7. A Holy Spirit guided and inspired community Acts 2: 17 – 21 – this contains the prophetic promise that in these last days God will pour out His spirit on ALL people. Ephesians 5: 18: “Do not get drink on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit”.

  8. A people with a heart for the lost (Mission Shaped) Jesus had a ‘market-place’ ministry. He told stories to fishermen! Church is all about serving the needs of the community. Church is about people.

  9. A people with a heart for the lost (Mission Shaped) At the very core of who we are and what we do is a people that have got good news to pass on to all who will listen. Isaiah: 52: 7 – 10………the story of beautiful feet. Matthew 28: 16 – 20 ……. the Great Commission

  10. A people who host God’s presence. 1 Cor 6: 19 – 20 : Our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit. When we host God’s presence, exciting things can happen! Heaven on earth.

  11. A kingdom-minded people. Jesus told us to pray for the kingdom to come, in the very prayer He taught us in Luke 11:2. We have been given the keys to the kingdom….Matthew 16: 19

  12. A prayerful people. Ephesians 6: 18 Whatever else we are called to do, We MUST, absolutely MUST build this church as a house of prayer. Let’s be bold in our prayers. Let’s be specific in our prayers. Let’s be constant in our prayers

  13. Conclusion. We are a group of people who want to put our hand to the plough and work hard in the kingdom of God. We are a group that believe the local church can be involved in and an agent of community transformation .
