  1. All You Should Know About Situational Leadership The situational leadership method means that managers must adopt different leadership styles depending on the situation. This model was introduced by Kenneth Blanchard and Paul Hersey and allows managers to analyze the needs of circumstances of his/her team members. Not all employees are same, so they should not be targeted by the same leadership style. It means leaders should change their style from one person to another, depending on employees’ competencies. A manager even uses different leadership styles to handle the same person, depending on the situation. Effective leadership is important to an organization’s success as they delegate work assignments, motivate their team members and communicate organization’s message. Though leadership style depends largely on a manger’s personality and working style, through situational leadership training, leaders can select a method that coordinates with the needs of a group and changes according to employee needs.

  2. How is situational leadership beneficial? Employee development level Situational leaders adjust their leadership style to varying skill levels and behavior of the employees. According to many experts, the situational leadership style matches different developmental level of the employees. For example, an employee may have a low level of skill which demands a leader to direct them. In some cases, a worker may have high skills who are motivated to perform with a hands-off manager. Motivation

  3. A motivating environment is created by providing support to employees based on their needs. Employees receive the necessary coaching and support to perform duties which build the morale of the workforce. The hands-off approach employed by a situational leader can motivate employees to work at their full potential. Situational leaders provide a better and more supportive work environment to employees of every kind of skill levels. In a nutshell, situational leadership creates a productive environment in an organization.
