  1. Laser hair removal at home has become a widely accepted option for permanent hair removal on body parts. Because it is cheaper, safer and more convenient in comparison to the laser hair removal at clinics. After 6-8 hair removal sessions with device, the user needs to use it once in six-month to stay hair-free. The FDA cleared laser hair removal device is the safest and best for permanent hair reduction. There are two types of hair removal devices used at home viz. IPL Hair Removal and Laser Hair Removal

  2. IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light. The laser hair removal device with IPL emits a broad-spectrum visible light onto your skin. The pigment in the skin absorbs the heat, damages follicles destroy hair-growing cells and stop the growth of hair. In contrast, the laser hair removal device uses the properties of a laser and damages follicles by blasting them with light energy. The laser can move deeper down into the pore and can, therefore, be more specific in the treatment it gives. The results of both the devices vary with skin tone and hair color. The skin tone, hair color and budget will affect the choice between the two.

  3. The coverage of IPL hair removal device at home is greater than laser hair removal devices. The hair removal session will be quicker but more in numbers in case of IPL hair removal devices. The user can alter the setting to match specific skin and hair types. A variant IPL hair removal device-VPL (Variable Pulse Light) has been developed. It enables the user to change the settings of light pulses to best suit the skin type and hair as bikini line hair needs the different treatment to thinner arm hair. As the light reaches down into the pore of skin in laser hair removal, it gets closer to the follicle and prevents regrowth. It means that laser hair removal can achieve much quicker results within few sessions than IPL. The laser hair removal is more suitable for darker skin as there is a less burning risk. Both laser and IPL hair removal are techniques that are suitable for use on the female face. But they should not be used on scalp or eyebrows. Eye protection kit is necessary to use to safeguard eyes from the glare of the light of laser hair removal at home. The use of laser hair removal devices at home may cause skin irritation in the form of redness, swelling, itchiness or feeling tender. But this will be for a short time and won’t last for more than a day. For the remedy, a moisturizer will do enough.
