  1. Merry Christmas НуруллоеваКамилла ученица 6 б класса МОУ СОШ №87 г.Уфы Республики Башкортостан Руководитель: Токубаева Татьяна Валентиновна, учитель английского языка

  2. The American and British people celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December. As we know that Christmas is a religious holiday. It is a day on which Christians celebrate the birth on Jesus Christ.

  3. The Christmas story comes from the Bible. The first Noel the angel did say Was to certain poor shepherds in the fields as they lay. In fields where they lay keeping their sheep on a cold winter’s night that was so deep. They looked up and saw a star Shining in the east beyond them far…

  4. The shepherds went there to see JESUS. The baby JESUS was born in a stable. His mother was the Virgin Mary and his father was Joseph.

  5. The most important Christmas tradition is the giving of presents. HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU. I’ve done many things for Christmas; I’ve tied each present with bow, But there’s one other thing I wanted to tell you, How much I love you. But I think , you know.

  6. Children leave a long sock or stocking at the end of their beds on Christmas Eve, hoping that Father Christmas will come down the chimney during the night and bring them small presents, fruit and nuts.   Hang Up the Baby's Stocking Hang up the baby's stocking! Be sure you don't forget! The dear little dimpled darling, She never saw Christmas yet!

  7. Day Before Christmas(Marchette Chute) Advent. The weeks before Christmas are full of excitement. People rush about shopping for presents, decorating their houses, sending cards. We have been helping with the cake And licking out the pan, And wrapping up our packages As neatly as we can. And we have hung our stocking up Beside the open grate, And now there's nothing more to do Except to wait! s and generally getting ready for the coming holiday.

  8. Cities and towns before Christmas sparkle with bright lights and decorations. Churches, homes, schools, shops and streets are decorated with Christmas trees, coloured lights.

  9. The Week Before Christmas By Joyce Luke Twas; the week before Christmas and all through the school Not a pupil was silent, no matter what rule. The children were busy with paper and paste… First came a basket of popcorn to string Then came the Christmas tree (menacing thing). As the tree was brought in there arose a great shout; The pupils were merrily romping about.

  10. Santa Clause is the remarkable character of Christmas. Santa Clause Florence Harrison On Christmas Eve for girls and boys You fill long stockings full of toys With many sweets and sugar plums But none have ever seen you come, Dear Santa Clause.

  11. THE REINDEER It was in 1832 with the publication of Clement Clark Moore's poem 'A Visit from Saint Nicholas' that the reindeer became part of popular Christmas tradition. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer, With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be Saint Nick. More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and them by name.  Now Dasher! Now Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen! On Comet! On Cupid! On, Donner and Blitzen!"

  12. Before Christmas people go to churches. They sing and hear many religious songs and carols at Christmas. Silent night Holy night, all is calm. - All is bright Round yon Virgin. Mother and Child, Holy Infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace. Silent night, Holy night, Shepherds quake at the sight. Glory streams from Heaven afar. Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.

  13. SPECIAL DISHES One more Christmas tradition is preparing special dishes. Classic roast turkey and Christmas pudding.

  14. "Christmas Night!" The trees are heavy With gleaming snow, The drifts are deep. And world is white, No breath of wind Is there to blow, Hushed beauty reigns... It's Christmas Night.
