Life in the Yangtze: A Day in the Life of an Alligator

I inhabit the warm waters of the Yangtze River in China and the Southeastern United States. Preferring to bask in the sunlight on muddy riverbanks, I thrive in warmer climates as a cold-blooded reptile. My unique adaptations include a special body part for digging burrows during winter. As a carnivore, my diet consists of fish, birds, snakes, turtles, and even alligator eggs. Join me in exploring my habitat and understanding my needs as a captivating creature of the wetland ecosystem.
