Overview of Content Provision in OpenUp! Project (WP4 & WP5)

The OpenUp! project, led by Christoph Häuser (WP4) and Karol Marhold (WP5), focuses on enriching multimedia content in multiple domains. WP4 covers zoology, paleontology, mineralogy, and anthropology, while WP5 focuses on botany and mycology. As of April 2013, the project has involved 20 content providers and amassed 92 data sources, resulting in over 1,010,322 multimedia objects available through the BPS. By the end of the project, a total of 1,900,000 objects is aimed for, highlighting significant growth in multimedia resources.
