Universal Transfer Paths: Ensuring Seamless College Transfers for Tennessee Students

Universal Transfer Paths (UTPs) are binding agreements established under the Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010. These initiatives were developed through collaboration among MTSU faculty representatives and other Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and University of Tennessee (UT) personnel. UTPs aim to facilitate smoother transfer processes between institutions, ensuring that students receive credit for their coursework when transitioning to different colleges and universities in Tennessee, ultimately supporting their educational goals.

  2. Universal Transfer Paths UTPs are binding agreements which we must honor MTSU faculty representatives met with other TBR/UT personnel to develop the Transfer Paths Paths were developed for Accounting, Business Administration, Economics (BBA & BS) and Computer Information Systems
  3. Universal Transfer Paths (UTP) Technical Systems is working on coding for Transcripts or under Test Scores to identify students who graduated under UTP Community Colleges now operating under common numbering Elimination of QM 2610 from CC curriculum- will only teach MATH 1530 (Applied Statistics)
  4. Universal Transfer Paths Due to separate General Education criteria and specific UTP course requirements the upper-division forms for these students are going to be altered There are still questions for which we do not have answers. Those have been submitted to TBR.

  10. Inother advising news… Priority Registration: April 4-15 Degree Evaluation is on for students Due to common numbering notice changes to some GE courses for Fall 2011: CHEM/PHYS 1130/1131 becomes PSCI 1130/1131 PS 2010 becomes PS 1005 WMST 2100 becomes WGST 2100
  11. History- the law has changed, but not for native MTSU students They must have 6 hours HIST 2010, 2020 or 2030 TBR Transfers may use Western or World Civilization courses to meet GE History Name change: Academic Enrichment to Learning Support (DSP 0700 no longer offered)
