  2. What is the latitude and longitude? The latitude and longitude of the West’s largest city (Los Angeles) is 33° 56' N 118° 24' W

  3. Why would people want to live there? Because in California there is Hollywood and other places is and in Washington there us Seattle.

  4. What are some major resources and landforms? • Major resources: gold deposits, wheat, oil, silver, copper, etc. • Major landforms:Rocky Mountains -extends more than 3,000 miles across the western part of North America, Great Basin - a large desert that covers 200,000 sq. miles in California, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Mt. Ranier - 14,410 ft., 4,392 meters, Cascade in Washington, Highest peak in Washington, etc.

  5. What is the climate in the West? • California and Hawaii have the warmest July temperature of 75 degrees F. Alaska has the coldest January of 5 degrees F. • The yearly precipitation for the west region is about 32 in. a year. That includes snowfall and rainfall.

  6. Economic issues? The United States is facing an economic crisis so terrible few nations have ever experienced it. Most people don’t even notice some of the easily observable signs of this crisis, where it came from, and how to stop it. While we persist mentality, we have quietly become a second-class country. We no longer produce what we need, we import a lot more products then we export, and we are selling off our resources and taking on massive debts to sustain a living that we can no longer afford. We aren’t even recognizing predatory foreign trade practices in the U.S. industry. Instead we encourage U.S. manufacturers to design, engineer, and produce in third world markets like Mexico and China.

  7. How they transport goods? They transport goods by car, train, boat, plane, etc.

  8. Are there any tourist attractions? The western region is loaded with tourists! There are many things to see there, like Hollywood, San Diego, Disneyland, Yosemite Park, Lake Tahoe, just to name a few.
