  2. COS’è IL GPL La sigla GPL (Gas di Petrolio Liquefatti) identifica una miscela di gas (idrocarburi)prevalentemente costituita da propano e butano. In condizioni ambientali standard questa miscela si presenta allo stato gassoso, ma ha la caratteristica di poter essere portata allo stato liquido, se sottoposta a pressioni super ri a quella atmosferica.

  3. ORIGINE E PRODUZIONE I GPL può essere ottenuto in vari modi: • tramite estrazione da pozzi petroliferi o di gas naturale. Nei giacimenti petroliferi i gas si trovano associati al greggio( fatto cento la quantità complessiva del materiale estratto, i gas costituiscono oltre il 2%) e, per ottenere un greggio commerciabile, e necessario comunque procedere ad una separazione dei liquidi dai gas. Analogamente nel caso dei giacimenti di gas naturale, dove propano e butano sono commisti al metano e rappresentano circa il 5% dei prodotto estratto; • dalla raffinazione, in quanto i processi di raffinazione del greggio producono naturalmente
