Employee Engagement and Satisfaction - How to Drive Business Performance Higher If you wonder how is everyone on twitter all the time when most of them have jobs to go to then here is your answer: they are not engaged at work. Employees don’t really stay engaged at work anymore. They are okay with doing little work and getting paid at the end of each month. As long as the pay is helping them take care of their expenses, employees don’t try to get better at their jobs. There are many reasons behind low employee engagement and satisfaction but in any case, they affect a business’s performance. So, if you want to drive business performance higher, you have to increase employee engagement and satisfaction. 1.Conduct Surveys: You can learn about employee engagement and how satisfied they are with their jobs with the help of surveys. But if you really want your employees to answer truthfully during the survey, you have to take actions after each survey. Otherwise your employees will get the impression that their opinions don’t matter to them. Your surveys must collect data that can be acted upon.

If an employee feels challenged in a job they love, they will want to improve their performance and their engagement will improve. If your business has satisfied employees, the customer engagement will also increase. 3.Opportunity to Grow: If a workplace doesn’t offer its employees the opportunity to grow, they will not feel the need to improve their performances. Promotions should be offered to employees regularly in order to increase their engagement. When employees develop the feelings of loyalty and friendliness, they reach out to each other in time of need. This will increase their performance and as a result, the business will improve too.
