ISAT Testing Dates • Testing window – March 3-14th, 2014 • Third grade will be testing March 3-7th • Make-up testing will be March 10-14th
Purpose & Results • ISAT measures individual student achievement relative to state standards • The results are used to determine Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for schools, district, and state • Parent reports will be available next school year
Subjects Tested in 3rd Grade • Reading • 50 multiple choice items & 1 extended response item • Mathematics • 65 multiple choice items, 2 short answer response items & 1 extended response item
What’s New? • IL is transitioning to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) • This is the last year for ISAT • New assessment in 2015: Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC) Assessment • CPS is NOT using ISAT for promotion in grades 3, 6, 8
