  2. INTRODUCTION Scientific Name-: Acinonyxjubatus. There the fastest land mammals running to 90km/h to 120km/h. There describe to be elegant and graceful among the cat family (lion and leopard). Thus they are the smalls compared to the rest cats.

  3. BEHAVIOUR • There hunting techniques are intermediate, thus both Stalker and caser. • Different from other cats they don’t roar but they purr. • Gestation period ranges from 90 to 98days (3month). • Maturity in Female is from 20 to 24months, where males is 12months but start mating at 3years. • They are shy.

  5. Social Orginazation. • Matriarch- Female are the lead and take care of the young ones for 18 months. • Females stay in ranges with other females. Either together with their cubs or elders allow. As shown below.

  6. Males stay in territory in a solitary form where there males only. They only meet with females during the breeding season. Males mark there territory with Urine on trees, logs, termite mounds. Male marking territory.

  7. Structure • Adults weight from 21kg to 72kg, while Cubs weight 150g to 300g at birth. • Length ranges from 110cm to 150cm where the tail is measured at 60cm to 84cm. • Height is ranges from 66cm to 94cm. • They have small heads compared to other cats. • Tails have awhite-bushy tip at the end

  8. Age and Sex Determination. AGE Determination-(Life span 12years in wild and 20years in captivity) • Young have downy underlay fur on their necks called Mantle. • The body size differ.

  10. Morhology • There skin have small black spots. • They have ablack“tear-mark” running from its eye down the side of the nose to the month. It keeps sunlight of its eyes and helt it to see further.

  11. Habitant They are often seen in the following ares-: • Semi-desert • Thick brush • Grassland and wooden grassland • Savannah areas • Mountainous terrains

  12. FOOD Cheetahs mostly feed on flesh as carnivores, thus they feed on species such as gazzelle, impala, springbok and others. Also take other mammals such as hare and birds in size of ostrich.

  13. Conclusion • Cheetah is the world's fastest land animal, unique and the most specialized member of the cat family and can reach speeds of 70 mph unlike other cats.
