TRIUMPH Project: Advancing Transparent Multi-wavelength Photonic Switch Interconnections

The TRIUMPH project aims to enhance network functionality and capacity by providing transparent ring interconnection using multi-wavelength photonic switches. This innovative approach is designed to enable high-capacity networks with seamless connectivity between core/regional metro rings (up to 160 Gbit/s) and metro-access rings (up to 40 Gbit/s). The TRIUMPH optical switch integrates features such as optical switching, transparent traffic aggregation, and optical regeneration, supporting various data rates from 10 to 160 Gbit/s, while promoting flexibility and convergence with emerging technologies.
