Your Group’s turn • Using all of the definitions at your disposal, create your groups perfect definition and record it on your sheet. • Create a performance/presentation of your definition. • Start it with “Theatre is…” – Speak in unison, split it up, have some people act out the parts of the definition, add hand gestures…be expressive and creative! Everyone must speak
Building an Ensemble • Prompt: On your chart list three positive things and three negative things about working in a group on a project. • Now share your answers with your group. • In your group discuss and guess what the definitions are for ENSEMBLE and COOPERATION and write them on your paper • Choose two members as the spokespersons to read each definition to the class

Group Process • Brainstorm ideas: listen to everyone’s ideas, communicate and compromise • Write the script: everyone must write it down in their own packet • Get it checked off: bring it to me for approval • Rehearse it: work inside or outside, on your feet, and practice until everyone has it memorized!
Your Assignment • Create an original song about a topic I give you (you will have a choice of two) • The song should be sung to a well known children’s song • Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, I’m a Little Tea Pot…etc. • You must do the whole song or a verse and the chorus if it’s a long song • You must have hand movements/choreography to go along with your song • EVERYONE must participate!
