Math – Math Expressions • UNIT 1- Additin and Subtraction within 20 • UNIT 2 – Addition within 200 • UNIT 3 – Length and Shapes • UNIT 4 - Subtract 2-Digit Numbers • UNIT 5 – Time, Graphs, and Word Problems • UNIT 6 – 3-Digit Addition and Subtraction • UNIT 7 – Arrays, Equal Shares, and Adding or Subtracting Lengths
Benchmark Reading • A Balanced Approach to Reading Shared Reading, Guided Reading, Independent Reading, Read-A-Loud • We test with IRR throughout the year to assess reading level • State Reading test = beginning of year IRR
Benchmark Writing • Students will learn the writing process. • Students will write a longer pieces. • Students will use capital letters correctly. • Students will learn to use correct grammar in simple sentences. • Student will learn different writing genres including narratives, expository writing, argumentative writing, and letters.

Extra’s • Please join PTSA They are SOOO supportive of the classroom and teachers • Be sure to check your child’s backpack each night • Help with reading and homework as necessary
Classroom needs • We have snack time every day after Specialists • We all have the same snack • Please donate for the snack cupboard: crackers, Cereal, chips, fruit snacks, pretzels, cookies, etc. NO NUTS Cups for our drinking water.
