  4. General Facts Population Location China is located in the northern hemisphere. The eastern border is surround by water. It is also North-West of Australia. It is in continent of Asia. • China is famous for its massive population. • In total it consists of about 1,331,460,000 • Land-Little • People-BIG- nice, yeah?

  5. Land formation • The total continental boundary of China extends over 20,000 kilometres. • In the vast western reaches of China - mountains, high plateaus and deserts dominate the landscape, while in the central and east areas, the land slopes into broad plains and deltas.

  6. Religion • The religion that most Chinese people are, is Buddhism. Buddhism remains the most popular single religion in China since its introduction in the 1st century .

  7. Festivals and Celebrations • The Chinese New Year is the most important of all the festivals. It is a time of centuries old tradition. The date of the New Year falls somewhere between late January and late February, depending on the Lunar (moon) calendar. A few weeks before, homes are cleaned thoroughly in preparation for the holiday.

  8. Sights to See 1.Great Wall Of China The Great wall is a wonderful place to see the beauty of China. It is luxurious hill and mountains in east of China 3. The Forbidden City The Forbidden City is located in the heart of Beijing, directly north of Tiananmen Square. Each side has one gate. Tourists today enter through the southern Meridian Gate (Wu men) and exit through the northern Gate of Spiritual Valor (Shenwu men). Children under 120cm free. 2. The terracotta Warriors The terracotta Warriors is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. 4. Temple of Heaven The Temple of Heaven can be considered to be a Heaven of its own because its peaceful and calming atmosphere. Admission Fees- 15CYN- April 1-October 31 10CYN- November1-March 31

History • The Chinese civilization is the oldest civilization still in existence today, and extends backwards in history in an unbroken chain over nearly four thousand years. • The Chinese land and people are famous for their merchandise and products, So Emperor Wudi(Han Dynasty) began to develop what has been called in modern times, the silk road. Following this route merchant traders brought silk from China westward, and glass, linen, and gold from the West back into China.

  10. Sport The Chinese play a variety of sports. Ping Pong, Badminton and Kung Fu. Kung Fu Kung Fu is a broad term that is used to describe all martial arts of Chinese origin. Kung-Fu existing under many different names through China’s history. Initially Kung Fu was called Ch’uan Fa (fist way). Ping Pong Table tennis, also known as ping-pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight, hollow ball back and forth using table tennis rackets. Badminton Badminton was first played in around about the 17th Century and is either played in singles or doubles, This is a great game for family.
