  2. Layout • The main picture is of Angelina Jolie. • It has a lot of text around the picture making it a bit cluttered. • If I had done this cover I would place less text and pictures on it, or at least made it smaller so that it will look better and less confusing.

  3. Use of images • There are a few other pictures apart from the one of Angelina. • It has pictures related to the featured articles. (e.g. SJP’s £16m apartment and Angelina and Brad’s secret Christmas Wedding) • It also has pictures of a few catwalk models as well as some accessories to give you a taste of the things you will find inside.

  4. Use of text • There is a lot of text on this front cover • The name of the magazine is written in big letters, so people can recognise quickly in the shop • It has text that tells you what you will find in the magazine (e.g. Angie & Brad’s Secret Christmas Wedding and Hot Celeb Trends)

  5. Colour and font choice • There are different fonts used on this cover • Some are bold and some are italic • All of that is done so that you will notice the magazine wherever it may be placed in the shop • The cover is also very colourful. The main text is in orange and white, however the rest of the text is done in different colours to suit the article that they go with. The pictures are also colourful, with the pictures of the models in different colour dresses and the different accessories. • The main background colour looks almost like a window and has some white dots that look like snow. This is done in the theme of winter as this is a January issue.

  6. How does the cover attract its target audience? • The text is used to attract people to buy the magazine in the same way pictures do.For example I was interested in the article about Angelina and Brad’s wedding and so I brought the magazine. • Look is a fashion magazine and so the pictures on the front cover of the models and the article ‘Super Glam Last-Minute NYE Buys’ will attract the attention of any girls that have an interest in fashion and the article about SJP’s apartment will attract the attention of any girls interested in celebrity gossip.
