  3. The Temporary Graduate Visa Subclass 485 is a work visa that allows international students who have completed at least 2 years of study in Australia to study, live, and work in the country. The time span can be between 18 months and 4 years depending on their situation.

Graduate Work Stream - Students who have completed 2 years of education from an Educational Institute in Australia, and who nominate an occupation on the Australian Skilled Occupation List (SOL).It is important that the study undertaken by the student must resonate similarly to the nominated occupation. Graduate visa 485 which are granted under Graduate Work Stream are valid for up to 18 months.

Post-Study Work Stream - Those students who have completed a bachelor’s degree or higher at an Australian Higher Education Institution can use this visa subclass 485 stream to live or work in Australia for up to 4 years.There is no requirement for applicants to nominate an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List(SOL) for this stream.
