  6. Express Entry provides further constraints on pre-existing immigration programs. Express Entry is a two-stage process: a. an applicant submits an online Express Entry profile b. applicant will be sent an Invitation to Apply from Citizenship and Immigration Canada When creating a profile, points are assigned to an applicant based on his or her personal characteristics, but also based on the applicant’s circumstances. An applicant’s chances greatly improve if he or she has an employer with an LMIA. Express Entry is not meant to be fair to applicants. Instead, Express Entry is meant to make things easy for Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

  7. Express Entry has age considerations. Language proficiency is extremely important under Express Entry. To submit a profile, you need language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF) and you need an educational assessment of any education completed outside of Canada. You will need police certificates for every country you have lived for more than 6 months since turning 18. Express Entry system is somewhat ambiguous, contains several bugs, and CIC officers are still figuring things out.
