  1. Guide to FAMIS Self-Service Module Welcome to the FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial, your guide through the “point and click” process of submitting a request for maintenance, repairs and services.

UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial OVERVIEW SUMMARY • Log in from the link on the top bar of the Facilities Operations web page [www.fo.uconn.edu] • Select your campus • Select building, floor and room • Select Maintenance & Repairs • Select your “trouble” from the major category (electrical, plumbing, heating) • Select subsequent detailed “trouble” best describing your situation from our listing • Or “Create Your Own Request” (available at the bottom of every page) DETAILED SCREEN PRINTS ON SUBSEQUENT PAGES

  3. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial WWW.FO.UCONN.EDU The “Request Our Services” link from the Facilities webpage will take you to a single sign-on where you will be authenticated using your NetID to log into FAMIS.

  4. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Log into FAMIS using your NetID and password.

  5. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Select your campus or if you know your campus and building numbers, you can click on the Service Requests button at the bottom of the listing.

  6. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Select your building from the list by clicking on the building number in blue. Or you can click on the gray “Service Requests” button at the bottom of the page.

  7. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Building information will be displayed. Select the appropriate floor. Or just click on the gray “Service Requests” button at the bottom of the page.

  8. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Select the appropriate room. If unknown or not listed, click on the gray “Service Requests” button to continue. Please be sure to list location details in the work description field to enable Facilities to locate the problem area.

  9. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Additional information is displayed upon room selection. Click “Service Requests” button at the bottom of page to continue.

  10. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Verify your requestor information, add an alternate if appropriate, then click “Next”.

  11. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Select “MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS” for routine repairs or “Create your own” if you already know that your trouble is not included in our listing. Selection 3 above is where your Dean or Department Head can request to add or delete a Department designee who has rights to view billing and work order statuses.

  12. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Under “MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS”, choose the appropriate type of repair. If you had a light out, you would click on “ELECTRICAL”.

  13. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial From the list of standard electrical problems, you would select “LIGHT(S) OUT”.

  14. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial On this screen, type additional information or answer the displayed questions in the “Description of Work” area, and indicate when your area is unavailable to be serviced, then click “Next”.

  15. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Location information is verified once again. You may make changes here if necessary, then click “Next”.

  16. UCONN Facilities - FAMIS Self-Service Tutorial Review information submitted here for completeness, then click “Finish”. A SR (Service Request) number will be displayed for your reference as the SR is forwarded to Work Order Control for processing.
