  2. Met een ‘questiontag’ vraag je bevestiging: • We zijn te laat, of niet? • We are late, aren’t we? • We zijn niet te laat, of wel? • We aren’t late, are we?

  3. Je gebruikt am/is/are (evt. plus not) om de questiontag te maken, met daarachter I/you/she/he/it/we/they • Sheis late, isn’tshe? • We areon time, aren’t we? • Sheisn’t late, isshe? • We aren’ton time, are we?

  4. Let op: • I am late, aren’t I? • = Ik ben te laat, of niet? • I amnot late, am I? • = Ik ben niet te laat, of wel?

  5. De batterijregel: • Als de zin PLUS is, is de tag MIN en andersom!

  6. Bijvoorbeeld: • Plus: - Min: • I am late, aren’t I? • We arehungry, aren’t we? • Sueisearly, isn’tshe? • Min: - Plus: • I amnot late, am I? • Youaren’tsad, areyou? • Henry isn’there, ishe?
