  2. Look at the picture for 30 seconds. Close your books and try to remember what the people were doing. Ex. Anne and Dave were drinking cocktails. Susie was dancing.

They weren’t waiting. • yes/no question / information question • past BE verb + subject + verb+-ing Were you singing? • (question word) + past BE verb + subject + verb+-ing What were you singing?
