  1. Oh, they're gonna squeeze her. Like a little pimple. We've gotta squeeze all that juice out of her immediately. • She was a small skinny old hag with a moustache on her upper lip and a mouth as sour as a green gooseberry. She never smiled. She never welcomed us as we came in. • That face of hers was the most frightful and frightening thing I have ever seen. Just looking at it gave me the shakes all over. It was so crumpled and wizened, so shrunken and shrivelled, it looked as though it had been pickled in vinegar. • She had small piggy eyes, a sunken mouth and one of those white flabby faces. • He had a black top hat on his head. He wore a tail coat made of a beautiful plum-colouredvelvet. His trousers were bottle green. His gloves were pearly grey. • She was a gigantic holy terror, a fierce tyrannical monster who frightened the life out of pupils and teachers alike. There was an aura of menace about her. • Have you ever seen a woman with an uglier face than that? I doubt it. And then there was the glass eye that was always looking the other way. She carried a walking stick so that she could hit things with it, like dogs and small children. • He was a kind of pot-bellied dwarf. He was so short his chin would have been underwater in the shallow end of any swimming pool in the world.
