  8. Main conclusions from questionnaire “voting” • Majority opinions • Location and time were a big success • Duration seemed perfect • Schedule was fine • Split opinions • Duration of presentations (50% found them too long) WP320: Training of researchers and key staff

Main conclusions from questionnaire comments • Summer school well organized • Idea of partly remote location is good • Some presentations were NOT didactic enough (more workshop like rather than school like) • Future schools maybe more focused • Possibly longer duration (2hours) with more breaks • More students should have attended • More AMICOM partners should have been represented • More common social programs WP320: Training of researchers and key staff

Comments and proposals from the local organizer • Deepest thanks to all participants • High level of presentations • Impressive also were the Ph.D presentations (although low in number) • A CD with all lectures will be send to all participants by the end of October • More uniform representation of AMICOM partners • Better “advertisement” of the future SS’s • A kind of review process of the presentations in terms of their didactic nature can be introduced • Better prior organization of the Ph.D sessions WP320: Training of researchers and key staff

WP leader’s view Dear George,I would like to express my sincerest thanks to you and FORTHfor organizing the 1st AMICOM Summer School.With 43 attendees, including both the bright new researchers of tomorrow andthe old hands of today, this event was a great success!!!!!!!Indeed, I have already had a a few e-mails expressing their sincerest thanks for all the hard work that you put in to organizing thisSummer School. In addition to the first rate lectures, by ALL the speakers(including PhD student presentations), the accommodation and hospitality was first rate!
