  3. Je hebt deze opdracht naar behoren uitgevoerd als je je onderwerp duidelijk gestructureerd hebt besproken, kunt omgaan met onderbrekingen, spontaan kunt reageren en fijnere nuances nauwkeurig kunt uitdrukken.

  4. Situation You are active in an international students’ organization that fights for a good cause. You can think of well-known organizations such as Doctors without Borders, Unicef, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, War Child or you may try and think of a lesser known organization. There is an international meeting in your town – you have been given the opportunity to present your organization and to try and raise funds for the cause you fight for.

  6. Presentation • 1. Make sure you know enough about the organization you represent. • 2. Research the background history and factual data of the organization. • 3. Think of a possible campaign for which the money you are going to collect, will be used. • 4. Try and think of arguments that people could use NOT to support your cause. Think of counter arguments that will convince them that your cause IS worthwhile. • 5. Prepare a power point presentation. Use at least 8 slides. In case you don’t have access to a beamer and laptop, prepare notes on so-called index cards which you can hide in your hands while speaking.

  7. Hints and steps to be taken before giving a presentation………. • 1. Prepare a power point presentation, each slide containing just a short key phrase of what you are going to say.
