  2. Location -Laos is a landlocked country in south east Asia -Laos is bordered by China to the north, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the south with Thailand and Myanmar to the west

  3. Size -area is 236 800km2 -91 429mi2

  4. Population -population is 6 660 0003 -sixty nine percent is rural and twenty one percent is urban - flags colors represent things like red symbolizes the blood and souls of the Laotian people blue stands for prosperity while white promises a bright future

  5. Capital City And Important City’s -capitol of Laos is Vientiane and also the largest city -form of government is a communist state -the national anthem is “Pheng Sat” (“national music”)

  6. Languages -official language is Lao -tribes of Laos speak different languages -Lao Lum speak both Lao and tai

  7. Currency -currency is kip(basic unit) -most people in Laos are poor

Food -these are the ingredients for koua khao (fried rice), 4tbsp of vegetable oil , 2eggs (beaten), 1yellow onion(chopped fine), 4cloves of garlic(crushed), 1lb of pork chops (or beef), (boned and julienned), shrimp (shelled and deveined), 1tsp of salt (adjust to taste), 1tsp of black pepper (grounded), 2tbsp of fish sauce, 2 red chilies, (julienned) 2tbsp of ketchup, 4cups of rice (cooked), 1/2cup of scallions(chopped), 4tbsp of coriander(chopped)
