This study investigates the in-situ incubation of biofilters at the Southampton Oceanography Centre to analyze the effects of temperature on oxygen consumption and carbon flux in seawater ecosystems. Using a mixing pump, oxygen electrode, and sampling pumps, we measured average respiration rates and nutrient flux while adhering to the Redfield ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus (C:N:P=106:16:1). Findings include Q10 values determining the influence of temperature on biogeochemical processes critical for understanding ecological dynamics.
