The National Retrofit Programme aims to upgrade Scotland's housing stock, addressing fuel poverty and reducing carbon emissions over the next decade. With a budget of £65 million, this initiative seeks to leverage additional funding to create an estimated £200 million program, focusing on affordable warmth, carbon-saving communities, and targeted carbon savings in Scotland's most vulnerable areas. Local authorities will play a significant role in developing and delivering these energy efficiency initiatives. Ongoing discussions with COSLA and energy companies will shape its implementation.
