Mangroves play vital role for ecological balance. It provides human the fresh air to breath and protects from threat of typhoons and tsunami. Mangrove also serves as the breeding ground of various species of fish and other aquatic organisms. This study aimed to provide a systematic and scientific recording of the mangrove species in the Southern part of the Philippines. Using a descriptive research design, the prevailing mangrove flora in the coastal municipalities of Sultan Kudarat Province, Philippines was identified and documented.
