The pain can cause by an injury or some severe illness in the past affecting that part of the body. There can be other reasons too which have different medical terms attached too. But CRPS is the exceptional one which can affect you very badly.   2. What is CRPS? CRPS stands for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. It is not only the pain but also the burning sensation that affects the person more. In the case of CRPS, the pain goes beyond a limit and the C-fibers get activated causing the simple sensation of unbearable pain to the person affected. To treat CRPS one must not only tre at the primary pain condition that has caused the CRPS but also the sympathetic C-fiber sprouting. If one or the other component is not treated, CRPS will remain untreated.
