  1. “I have the right to be safe”

  2. What are rights? Rights are things that everyone should have or be able to do. Rights are very important and should not be taken away from you.  E.g. By blocking off the toilets we would be taking away your right to use them. E.g.2. If someone is mean to another person or bullies them, they are taking away that person's right to be happy. 

  3. Rights and rules... Sometimes, not doing something or doing something 'boring' is the best and safest thing to do. Rules that keep us safe: • School rules  • Looking before you cross the road • Not running with scissors • Treating each other kindly & not bullying each other You have a right to do something unless it might hurt you or others...

  4. Safety and keeping safe • What makes you safe? • Who keeps you safe? • How do they keep you safe? • Do you think you should keep others safe?
