Sloan project • Funds available for • Meeting between IOC and OBIS • Held in Oostende • Consultant: Geoff Holland • Is drafting business plan • Input from Governing Board and wider OBIS and CoML community • Assist in approaching IOC country representatives • With input from CoML community • ‘Draft email’ to support this activity

  4. Meeting with IOC/IODE • Discuss detailed form of collaboration • Drafting of Business Plan • First incomplete draft is available • OBIS will be proposed as ‘IOC Programme’ • Strong collaboration with IODE, formalised through joint group of experts

  5. Meeting with Rutgers • January 2009 • Meeting with Vice-President for Academic affairs, Dean for projects, Director IMCS • OBIS: Jesse, Fred, Edward • VP is ‘cautiously optimistic’ • Interested in hosting Programme Office • Must think about potential contribution of RU

  6. IODE/GEBICH meeting • January 2009, Oostende, Belgium • Look at first draft of business plan and report of the OBIS/IODE meeting of November 2008 • Prepare for input from GEBICH to IODE meeting

  7. Future meetings • OBIS Governing Board, RU, April 2009 • RU will be invited • Cisco Werner will attend • Prepare document input for IODE meeting • IODE meeting, China, May 2009 • Recommendation to IOC • IOC meeting • Fingers crossed!!
