  2. Transition into Year 2 • Morning routines & communication • After school collection (Owls and Kestrels North Door & Eagles South Door) • Water bottles • PE kits • Pencil Cases – small sized and must be named. This is not a requirement as all equipment will be supplied.

  3. Helping your child at home – Partnership Working • ‘Homework Challenge’ each half term. • Weekly spellings. • ‘Reading at home Challenge’. • Numeracy homework

  4. What is special about Year 2? After school clubs: • Recorder Club • Ukulele Club • Legacy Sports Club • Football Club • Choir • Prefects • Play leaders • Hampshire Music Service • Links to Purbrook Junior School

  5. Assessment • End of Key Stage 1 assessments (SATs) • Holidays and Absences – School holidays will not be authorised in term time. It is very important that children are in school up to and including May, as assessments will take place during this time
