Prospective Students Requirements • Students that meet high school minimum course requirements • At least 30 transferable credit hours • Students that do not meet high school minimum course requirements • In state – 30 hour block, 44 Hour Core, Associate in Arts or Associate in Science • Out of State—30 hour block • A minimum cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0 • A “C” or better is required for all transfer coursework • “C-” and below will not transfer Admissions • Apply early • Must have 12 semester hours of completed college coursework at point of application • Application is currently open for all 2014 terms • Completed applications • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the class is filled • Current class data Transfer Track Fridays • Campus visit designed specifically for prospective transfer students. Similar to the Open House set-up but in a smaller setting, hear details about admission, credit evaluation and advising from our staff and ask our transfer student panel questions about life on campus. www.admissions.appstate.edu/transfer-students

Accepted Students Meeting ASU’s General Education Requirements • Associate in Arts, Associate in Science or Transfer Core Diploma (44 Hour Core) from a North Carolina Community College with a “C” or better in all core coursework • Noted on Transfer Coursework Evaluation as “GEP MET” or “CCC CORE” • Associate in Arts and Associate in Science degrees from out of state are reviewed on an individual basis • General Education requirements completed at one of the UNC sister institutions prior to transfer are reviewed on an individual basis • Individual articulated credits Elective Credit Petition Process – www.ota.appstate.edu

Resources JUMP START APPALACHIAN • jumpstart.appstate.edu • Helps students from Caldwell, Central Piedmont & Wilkes Community Colleges with the transition to the main Appalachian campus T-POP (Transfer Pre-Orientation Program) • The aim of the day is to help you prepare for Orientation so that everything goes smoothly on that day. Students attending T-POP will still be required to attend an on-campus Orientation session.
