  1. How Weddings in India Blossom with Flowers Flowers to India and Indian citizens hold a very high pedestal. These colorful blooms connect every Indian through a myriad of emotions and bring together people during festivals, religious ceremonies, weddings, and other special occasions. Owing to the immense number of uses and representations flowers mean to India, we try to focus on one of the highly traditional occasion that is celebrated in India and has a lot of connection with flowers. Weddings and marriages are an extravagant affair when it comes to India. It is a grand event full of glitz and glamour. Currently, weddings have added a side of chic- ness to it along with its religious traditions, may it be a pre-wedding shoot or incorporating a photo booth or a theme based wedding or even destination weddings. However, no matter what many number of modernity you add to the ceremony, one can never take the holy union and its essence away from a marriage. That has a lot to do with the presence and use of flowers at weddings. One cannot imagine a wedding without flowers in them, can you? Flowers are a part and parcel of marriage. Used for various purposes like decorating the halls, to being the center-piece of tables or used in the rituals of exchanging garlands and also, largely used in the bride’s hair-do, these blooms always add a charm of their own to the weddings. Traditionally, flowers are a must have at weddings and we should also know which flowers are largely used in India and are most common at the Indian weddings: Marigolds- The most extensively used flowers in all occasions all over India, Marigolds play a huge role in serving at the weddings. Marigolds are used in the rituals and customary at weddings as they imply Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakhsmi’s union of love which makes them perfect to be used at Hindu marriages for a couple’s holy union. They also release positive vibes and are relatable to the bright and yellow sun just like their vibrant colors of yellow and orange. Jasmine- The second most commonly used a flower during holy matrimony are the aromatic white buds of jasmine. They can be used as the hair décor for the bride or even worn by the guests which add a certain traditional look to the wedding. Roses – The flower that stands outs among every other is the splendid and spontaneous red rose. It always works out for weddings, be it used for garlands or decorative purposes or just for the bride or groom as a sign of love. Even though red roses are undoubtedly the owner of Weddings but other colors also are appropriate especially if you want to decorate the halls.

  2. Lily- Posing a very classy and elegant look, lilies are the kind of flowers best as gifts for weddings. They are symbolic of love, dependability and satisfaction which are believed to be essential part of any marriage. Orchids- This bloom has very recently become popular at Indian weddings, especially because of its exotic nature and incredible range of hues they are available in. Displaying a certain kind of quality and majestic aura at the wedding, orchids make the best out of weddings showing profound love between the couple. Tulips- Connoting affection and cherishing the celebration called marriage, tulips add an element of excellence and vitality into the weddings and represent loyalty and a forever strong bond among the couple. Chrysanthemums- Along with the conventional roses, chrysanthemums are also sometimes used at Indian weddings to add some color to the garlands. They represent optimism, joy and a long lasting life for the couple. Hydrangeas- These big bunches of green, purple, white and blue flowers are perfect for center-pieces at weddings and are highly common in India. They are also given in mixed bouquets to the couples sometimes. Indian weddings are becoming more and more unconventional and flowers to India will always remain as favorites. Being an integral part of the big fat Indian wedding, you simply cannot resist sending flowers to India, especially to your closed ones and cherish their beauty and magic.
