  1. Presented by Dr. W. Terry Bailey Time to Crossover

  2. Mark 4:35 • “On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, let us cross over to the other side.”

  3. Storm • In Mark 4:36-41 that Jesus and His disciples encountered a storm on the Sea of Galilee as they endeavored to cross over to the other side. • I believe there is a principle here. • When you endeavor to cross over into your new assignment you will encounter a battle or a storm designed to prevent you from crossing over into your inheritance.

  4. Three Different Things – Crossing Over • God is calling us to cross over into our inheritance. • Ephesians 1:11-12 reads, “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.” “That we who first trusted Christ should be to the praise of His glory.”

  5. Three Different Things – Crossing Over • Psalms 16:5 – “O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.” • . Matthew 5:5 – “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

  6. Three Different Things – Crossing Over • “Our inheritance not only includes spiritual things. It also can include physical inheritance or material things that God has set aside for each of us. • “God has a specific interest in each of us as individuals. Each of us has an inheritance that is uniquely our own.” • “This includes your individual destiny, or that which God desires to do through you.”

  7. Three Different Things – Crossing Over • God is calling us to enter into our destiny assignment. • Every blessing and every promise that God gives to you is related to your destiny. • We are a people of promise. • God has a prophetic destiny for your life. • You will find your destiny when you find your purpose.

  8. Three Different Things – Crossing Over • Destiny is defined as “Destiny refers to a predetermined course of events. It may be conceived as a predetermined future, whether in general or an individual.” • Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you: and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

  9. Three Different Things – Crossing Over • God is calling us to enter into abundance. • John 10:10 reads, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that you may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” • To live an abundant life does not necessarily mean that we are rich in this world’s goods.

  10. Abundant Life • An Abundant life is having peace with God. • An Abundant life is having a relationship with Christ. • An Abundant life is having your sons and daughters saved and serving the Lord. • An Abundant life is the blessings of health. • An Abundant life will be the result of laying up treasures in heaven.

  11. Ephesians 4:1-3 • Ephesians 4:1-3 – “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to have a walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,” verse 2 “with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, verse 3 “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

  12. Movement Begins at Passover • Passover represents a time of movement. In Exodus 12:11 – “And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and you staff in your hand. So you shall it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.” • They had to eat it in haste because they were about to leave at a moment’s notice. God was bringing a new day of deliverance. • Passover represents a new beginning. It is a time of movement. Transition will begin at Passover and culminate at the season of Pentecost.

  13. Movement begins at Passover • Movement begins at Passover. • We move from an old season to a new season. • The children of Israel began a transition out of bondage and slavery into freedom and liberty. • This is the beginning of a transition.

  14. Transition • Confusion is normal during transition. • Transition seems to always involve a wilderness experience – You must be careful to hear God’s voice clearly during transitional times. • God always provides during times of transition.

  15. Three Different Times - Passover • Exodus 12 – They observed Passover and then left Egypt in route to the Promised Land. • Joshua 5:10 – They observed Passover on the 14th day of the month immediately upon entering into the Promised Land. What happened? It represented a new day – Manna ceased and they ate the produce of the land. • In 2 Kings 23 Josiah the reformer king tore down the high places and destroyed the idols. He brought the priests back to Jerusalem.

  16. Josiah – Passover • II Chronicles 35 records the keeping of the Passover. This was time when God destroyed the idolatry of Judah and reinstituted His covenant with His people. • II Chronicles 35:33 – “Thus Josiah removed all the abominations from all the country that belonged to the children of Israel, and made all who were present in Israel diligently serve the Lord their God. All his days they did not depart from the following the Lord God of their fathers.”

  17. Passover - Pentecost • Passover is a time of movement – Pentecost is a time of visitation. • The Law was given on Pentecost. It is a time when God establishes a new order.

  18. Acts 2:1-4 • Acts 2:1-4 – “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accordin one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
