Reward and Recognition Secured Funding from NUS Activist Development Fund to research and deliver reward and recognition schemes that support their motivations and aspirations Initial Findings: Motivation Making friends - Make a difference - Getting to know University staff - To implement/see change - Chance to part of a network of campaigners - Connecting with local and national groups - Getting professional experience through societies - Enjoyment and fun - Adding something to the CV - Widening my understanding of the university - Broadening my horizons - Enjoy power/Status – Networking – Employability - Helping other volunteers grow - Working with other volunteers - Getting involved with the local community - Meet up with volunteers from different universities - Working with the Guild: a highly recognised student body - New unexplored opportunities - Help charities • Desired reward • Access/invitation to exclusive events • Award ceremonies • Encouraging networking cooperation between societies • Access to exclusive offers and deals from the Guild • Staff support, mentoring and coachingRecognition – publicising achievements • Exclusive opportunities to meet and network with campaigners and social leaders
