Determining Levels: Level Descriptors Describe the level of knowledge and/or skills and expected performance at each level of the SCQF in terms of 5 characteristics (skill areas) which are • Knowledge and understanding; • Practice (applied knowledge and understanding); • Generic cognitive skills, such as evaluation and critical analysis; • Communication, ICT and Numeracy Skills; • Autonomy, accountability and working with others.
