  1. Implementation of the Telescope Pointing Code hogan Oct-21-2010 Need Pointing Code to: 1. Make a map 2. Interpret TauA, Moon, Jupiter, and Venus calibrations Colin Bischoff’s memo: https://cmb.uchicago.edu/project/images/a/ad/Chicago_pointing-2.ps

  2. Translate from Telescope Coordinates to the HEALPIX Coordinate System Healpix Coordinates are used by QUIET in Making Maps Similar to IAU Galactic Coordinates Right Ascension 90 – Declination Parallactic Angle

  3. Ideal Case Module ID Telescope Azimuth, Telescope Elevation, Telescope “Deck Angle” Chile Latitude Modified Julian Day Right Ascension Declination-90 Parallactic Angle of Q1 (Assume U diodes are rotated by 45 degrees wrt Q diodes) Euler transformations

  4. Parallactic Angle Psi of the Q1 Diode Observed Values Parallactic Angle changes during observation due to sky rotation Assumes Q and U are EXACTLY 45 degrees apart Invert simple 2x2 matrix to extract QSKY and USKY

  5. Real Case Module ID Corrected Telescope Azimuth, Telescope Elevation, Telescope “Deck Angle” Chile Latitude Modified Julian Day Telescope Azimuth, Telescope Elevation, Telescope “Deck Angle” Telescope Corrections: - Non-Orthogonality of the 3 axes - Position Encoder Offsets - Offset of the center module from - Telescope Boresight axis (Radio collimation) - Bending of the Elevation axis (Flexure) Telescope Corrections Change the Healpix Angles by O(1 degree). Right Ascension 90 - Declination Parallactic Angle of Q1 (Assume U diodes are rotated by 45 degrees wrt Q diodes)

  6. Patch2a: RA~180 deg 90-DEC ~ 130 deg FNAL PAC

  7. Pointing of Module 45 and 00 during Observation of Patch 2a Module 45 Module 00

  8. Parallactic Angle of Module 45 Observation of Patch 2a

  9. Almost Ready to Make a Map Need to do more debugging/cross checks. Need Polarization Gain
