This overview defines a robot as a motorized object controlled by a computer, pre-programmed by humans. It highlights various common tasks performed by robots, including building cars, defusing bombs, vacuuming homes, and sorting mail. A focus is placed on the mail sorter, widely used in post offices to categorize mail based on size, destination, and stamp presence. Additionally, car wash machines demonstrate automation by effectively cleaning and drying vehicles without owner intervention. Lastly, the car-building process showcases robotic arms assembling cars in automotive manufacturing.

Mail Sorter • This machine is used in post offices across the world. • This machine will sort mail from, where it goes, the size and whether or if it has a mail stamp or not. • This machine has many sensors that are programmed to look for various things as the mail pass through the machine.
Car Wash • This machine is used in many car washes that are used in the city or populated areas. • It washes and dries your car without the car owner having to get out and use their energy to clean their car. • Is has a series of hydraulics that push the brushes to the car without doing damage, then it sprays water all over the car and when the car is finished washing it turns on powerful blowers to dry the car.
Car Builder • This machine is used thought the world in automotive manufacturing. • This machine uses many arms and magnetic parts to place parts on cars and to assemble the final product. • This machine will lift parts from a pile and place them on the car at a pre programmed location on every car that goes by it. This machine will also flip a car over to allow assembly to the underside of the car.
