This study investigates the expression levels of pro-IL-16 and secreted IL-16 in the central nervous system (CNS), focusing on brain and spinal cord samples. Results show significant differences in IL-16 levels among various conditions, with statistical significance marked at p < 0.005 and p < 0.001. Analysis includes comparisons between control, AL, SAL, CL, NAWM, and NAGM samples, further elucidating the potential role of IL-16 in CNS pathophysiology and its implications for neuroinflammatory processes.
